VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Safety Forces - The Safety Forces provide fire protection for the Camplands with certified Firemen on-call. The Safety Forces also provide First-Aid assistance upon request of a property owner to the guardhouse (CB Channel #15). A Fire-Police unit assists Firemen and First-Aid personnel. The Safety Forces also hold many fund raising activities throughout the year, including auctions, and pancake breakfasts. Summer meetings are held the first Saturday of each month at 1pm. Applications available through Bill or Jeanie Seckler at 2001 Trotwood.


Future Lot Owners: (FLO) A committee of the Property Owners Council dedicated to planning and implementing teen and pre-teen activities at Holiday Camplands. Each season, FLO sponsors Saturday night teen dances, the Pittsburgh vs Cleveland Car Bash, the Slip 'N' Slide, the Halloween Walk, and the Teen Luau. Youth volunteers and officers are needed, ages 12 to 19 as well as adults, to help organize and chaperone. For more information, contact Chairperson Gloria Teichman through the Clubhouse.

Volunteer Corps - An organization that assists the Association in meeting many volunteer needs, including traffic control, supervision at recreational events, and assisting office, maintenance, and point personnel upon request. Membership is open to all lot owners. Interested parties should inquire at the Clubhouse counter. The chairperson of this committee is Council President Jack Toomey.

Sportsman's Club - Sponsors many recreational activities annually, including Halloween events, Children's Fishing Contest, Memorial Day Parade, and a Summer Easter Egg Hunt. This organization holds several fundraisers, including the Golf Cart Raffle and Jail-n-Bail. They work with the Association each year in providing and fish stocking at Gault Lake. 2006 summer meetings will be held at noon on June18, July 16, and August 20 at the Clubhouse. Interested parties should inquire at the Clubhouse.

Recreation Committee - Assists the Association in planning and funding recreation activities and events. Fundraisers include periodic Hot Dog Sales at the pavilion entrance. Interested parties should contact Cheryl Galvin, District 12 Representative.

Chapel-In-The-Woods Committee - Provides summer services at 9am each Sunday, along with various other charitable services. This committee also maintains the Chapel structure and grounds for the Association.

Snowbird Committee - Organizes and funds the winter get-together at Sebring, Florida.

Lake Management Committee - A temporary committee established by Council in 2004 in order to facilitate the planning, promotion and construction of a state mandated Emergency Spillway, to be constructed during 2005/2006.
